Tai Chi in Methuen
One of the original ancient Chinese martial arts, tai chi chuan is practiced today as a form of exercise. The slowness and evenness of its continuous movement, based on the philosophy of tai chi, makes it an ideal form of exercise for men and women of all ages. The practice of tai chi chuan increases strength and resiliency, promotes cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, improves coordination and balance, and builds confidence.

Methuen Aikido is offering a 5 week Tai Chi program for beginners and an additional program for intermediate level students too. Instructor Tony Zhu will conduct classes on Monday at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 11:00 am. In this course, you will learn a series of movements in the Yang style, today's most popular form. Students should wear loose comfortable clothing and soft flat-bottomed shoes. The cost of either program is $110.00.

Please call the dojo (978-681-4555) or write to doreclan@comcast.net for more details about this or other programs offered at Methuen Aikido. Pre-registration is required. The next program will start in mid-May.

Remember that registration is limited so call now if you are interested in signing up for the first Tai Chi program.
